Questions hosts ask
Does Airbnb allow this?
Yes. Having your own website is allowed. What isn't allowed is steering guests who book through Airbnb to your own site. That's why the link doesn't go in your listing or your messages.
Do I have to do anything technical?
No. I handle the domain, hosting and updates. You send your Airbnb link and give feedback on the first version.
Can I take direct bookings later?
Yes. The calling card comes first. Once visitors come in, I switch on direct booking: a calendar that follows Airbnb, a request form and an iDEAL payment link. That costs €395 one-off and the monthly fee becomes €39. Note: Airbnb's insurance doesn't cover direct bookings, so we'll sort that out together.
I'm at the maximum number of nights. Is it still worth it?
Yes, in a different way. You won't get more nights, but better ones: guests who book directly, so you keep the 15.5% commission, and a stronger story for a higher price.
What if I want to stop?
You can cancel any month. The domain is in your name and you get all the files.
